Renovation
Old pools made new, tile to deck
Re-tile, re-plaster, new liners and full deck replacement for tired pools around Hilton Head Island and Bluffton.
When a pool starts to look its age
Salt air, sun and years of chemistry leave their marks in a predictable order. Waterline tile goes chalky or loses its glaze. Plaster turns rough underfoot and stains in a pattern that no brush will lift. A vinyl liner fades, wrinkles or lets go at the seams. The deck around it cracks, heaves or wears smooth.
None of that means the pool is finished. Most of the time the shell is sound and the surfaces are what's tired. Camp Pool Builders makes old swimming pools new again, and it starts by telling you honestly which of those surfaces need work now and which can wait.

Waterfront estate pool with travertine decking and a raised spa, Hilton Head Island
Tile, plaster, liners and decks, one surface at a time
We replace tile, re-plaster, and replace vinyl liners on dated, worn or faded pools in Hilton Head Island and Bluffton. New tile and coping change the whole look of the waterline. Fresh plaster in a new colour changes the way the water looks from the patio.
Complete deck resurfacing and replacement brings the area around the pool into the next decade, too. And we renovate all pool types and their surrounding deck, whether Camp built it or not.
Replacing a liner costs less than re-plastering, which is worth knowing if you're weighing the two. Shotcrete pools need their plaster redone over the life of the pool, and a renovation is the moment to fix the details that always bothered you.
Sequence the deck and the water together
The order of a renovation matters. Tile and coping come off before plaster goes on, and the deck work is planned around both, so a new surface isn't scratched by the next trade through the gate. Doing it in one planned pass is cheaper than reopening the pool three times.
It's also the right time to ask for the things the pool never had. Better lighting, an updated finish, a spa wall refaced to match. Kevin Camp walks the property, tells you what the pool needs, and lays the options out with costs up front. Call (843) 683-2862 for a free look at what yours needs.
