Hilton Head Island and Bluffton

The same person from the first yard walk to the last inspection

Kevin Camp sets up a meeting, walks the property, and learns what you envision in your backyard. Then he designs the pool for your lifestyle, your yard and your budget, and he stays on the job from start to finish.

A face to face meeting at the property
Kevin comes to you, at your convenience, and evaluates the property so the pool he draws is for your yard and not a catalog yard.
Your interests, your budget, your vision
He finds out what you picture in the backyard first. Then he designs for your lifestyle, your yard and your budget, in that order.
One representative, start to finish
The same person who designs the pool supervises the project from start to finish. There are no SURPRISES, and projects come in on budget.
Every option and cost on the table up front
Camp Pool Builders does not like issuing change orders any more than you like receiving them, so the only changes are the ones you ask for.
Free designs and estimates
You see what the pool looks like in your yard, and what it costs, before you commit to anything.
No upselling
Three pool lines mean more options, so Kevin can fit you with the pool that suits your needs and budget instead of selling you up into a pool that does not suit your needs or budget.

Depending on the season, the pool type and the scope of work

How long a pool takes, measured in weeks

Each mark below is one week. The bars show how far each kind of pool runs, from the quickest fiberglass install to the longest turn-key elevated build.

Weeks on the job

  • Fiberglass pool at grade

    As quickly as 3 weeks

  • Shotcrete pool, through plaster

As quickly as 6 weeks, typically 8 to 10

  • Elevated pool and deck

    About 12 weeks

  • Largest turn-key elevated project

    Up to fourteen weeks

Custom fiberglass pools and spas
Installed and filled with water within 7 business days. Every fiberglass pool sits for 2 weeks after backfill and completion, so the pool and the surrounding deck grade can lock into place. The gap between pool install and deck install is when the equipment is set and wired and the service yard fence goes in, if one is required. At grade with a concrete or paver deck, the whole job can take as little as 3 weeks.
Shotcrete pools and spas
Completed through plaster as quickly as 6 weeks. The typical project averages about 8 to 10 weeks.
Elevated pools
Fiberglass or shotcrete, an elevated pool needs extra time. The average for an elevated pool and deck is about 12 weeks, because additional time has to be set aside for the extra phases and inspections required to lift the pool and the surrounding deck off the ground.
The fourteen week jobs
It can take as long as fourteen weeks to install any of the following:
  • Turn-key elevated shotcrete
  • A fiberglass pool with engineering, footing and a CMU pool substructure or retaining wall
  • The shotcrete pool structure or fiberglass shell
  • Elevated wood or masonry decks
  • Masonry decks at grade
  • Propane tank installation
  • Electrical installation
  • Service yard fence construction

Start before spring and summer

The best time to build a swimming pool is before spring and summer. That puts your pool and the landscaping around it finished by the first warm day, and gives your family a full season in the water. Camp Pool Builders builds year-round, regardless of the weather, so a cold month is no reason to wait to sit down with Kevin.

Questions about cost, small yards, shapes or features? The answers are in the pool construction FAQs.
