Hilton Head Island and Bluffton
Pools, spas and the work after
Camp Pool Builders builds two kinds of pool, custom shotcrete and custom fiberglass, and Kevin builds both, so he can tell you honestly which one belongs in your yard. After the build, we renovate and repair pools of every type, along with the decks around them.

Both lines are built by the same crew
Two pool lines, honestly compared
Each line has its own construction method and its own timeline, and each one costs you in a different place. Here is how they line up, the good and the less good.
Time to build
ShotcreteAbout 6 to 10 weeks to plaster, as quickly as 6 on a straightforward pool. Elevated pools run about 12, and the largest turn-key projects can reach fourteen.
FiberglassThe shell is set and filled within 7 business days, then it settles for two weeks before the deck goes in. Two to three weeks in all.
Cost to build
ShotcreteThe highest initial cost of the two lines, because every inch is formed, shot and finished by hand.
FiberglassA low cost of construction. The shell arrives built, so there is less to pay for on site.
Cost over the years
ShotcreteThe highest long-term cost. The interior needs resurfacing, and the porous surface takes more chemical and more electricity each season.
FiberglassMid-range. The surface is non-porous, so the pool uses less chemical and less electricity, and a liner costs less to replace than re-plastering.
Design freedom
ShotcreteAny size, shape and depth profile. Integrated spas, raised walls, tanning ledges and water features, with your own tile, interior finish and decking.
FiberglassPre-set designs, made your own with the depth profile, coping and decking material you pick.
Who it suits
ShotcreteClients who are used to having things tailored to them, or a tight yard where the shape has to be drawn around the space.
FiberglassFamilies who want a pool without a larger investment, and a first pool in a younger community.

Fiberglass is not the lesser pool, and shotcrete is not the better one.
Pools are luxury items built for pleasure, and the right one is the one that fits your yard and your budget. Read the full story of each line on its own page, or bring your lot to a free design visit and we will walk through both there. If you are weighing cost, the construction FAQs explain why two pools that look alike can be priced very differently.
Make it yours, make it new, make it right
A pool is never finished the day it fills. Features go in at the start, and years later the tile, plaster, liner, deck or equipment will ask for attention.
Not sure where to begin? The design and build process shows how Kevin walks a job, and the equipment guide explains what runs your pool.
Custom features
Waterfalls, rock features and jump rocks, cabo shelves with umbrella sleeves, tanning ledges, fountains, grottos, integrated spas, raised walls, lighting and tile. Freeform, lagoon, Grecian or geometric. We plan them into the shell up front so nothing turns into a change order later.

Pool renovation
We make old swimming pools new again: new tile, re-plastering, vinyl liner replacement, and complete deck resurfacing or replacement for any pool type, so a dated, worn or faded pool can carry you into the next decade.
Pool repair
A leak, equipment that has given up, a damaged deck: call and we will troubleshoot the problem first, then tell you the best way to fix it.

We don't up sell
We won't push you into a pool that doesn't suit your needs or your budget. Kevin is not trying to take on every project in the area, so yours gets the attention it deserves. All the options and costs are laid out up front, and the only changes are the ones you ask for.
