Kevin Camp, owner
A builder who got tired of turning people away
Camp Pool Builders is a service-oriented swimming pool construction, renovation and repair company, and we take pride in transforming back yards on Hilton Head Island and in Bluffton.
Over 100 pools on Hilton Head
Kevin served local clients for Aqua Blue Pools (ABP) on Hilton Head, building more than 100 projects. In 2007 Nix Construction hired him, and there he pursued an interest in general contracting.
At Nix he refined his marketing, sales, estimating, scheduling, project management and planning skills, and he realized they could be put to greater use in the pool industry.
Back to pools, then out on his own
In 2011 Aqua Blue Pools re-hired Kevin to re-establish the Hilton Head market as their area sales rep and superintendent. He was very successful over the next year and a half, but he longed to pursue a venture of his own.
He had built over 100 beautiful pools with ABP, but all too often he had to turn clients away. As much as he enjoys building high end pools, it bothered him that he could not serve everyone.
So he learned both sides of the pool
By specializing in shotcrete and fiberglass pools, Kevin knows the varying costs of each type of construction and their pros and cons. He created Camp Pool Builders to be a unique pool construction company that puts the client's needs and overall experience first, with a swimming pool for every family. How we work
Relationships above the almighty dollar
We believe long lasting relationships with clients matter as much as the pool itself. Kevin brings his construction and project management skills and gives every client “hands on involvement” from project design to completion, placing Quality, Attention to Detail and personal relationships above the almighty dollar.
The same person who designs your pool supervises it from start to finish, so there are no surprises. See how that works in the design and build process.
Why choose us
We are a focused on providing excellent service to create long term relationships. We are not trying to take on every pool project in the area so your project gets the attention it deserves.
We make sure all options and costs are discussed up front. We don’t like issuing change orders any more than our clients like receiving them. We make sure the only changes to the project are upon request.
We don’t up sell our clients into a pool that does not suit their needs or budget. Our clients are only happy if we fit them with their best possible pool, and that is what we do.

Kevin, Rob, Rick and Seth, in their customers' words
Camp Pool Builders is Kevin's company, and customers write about Rob, Rick and Seth by name too. Here is some of what they said on Google.
“Camp pool built my pool and it was everything I expected and more. Kevin, who is the owner, is a perfectionist and was on site at every critical step to ensure the work was done with the highest degree of quality. This is my third year using the pool and I still enjoy the pool and the workmanship. Thanks Kevin.”
“Kevin Camp, Rob and Seth were AMAZING! We had several estimates as we knew it was going to be a big project. They definitely were the ones who had the most personality and patience with us. They are very hard working, honest, dedicated and timely! They exceeded our expectations! They made a dream come true! Simply THE BEST!”
“Kevin had this amazing guy that worked for him named Rick. Rick explained the whole process, from ordering down to properly taking care of the pool. Even years after the pool was installed I would call (well email) Kevin and Rick and they would give me helpful advice, from cleaning it, to replacing a light to the opinion about the best robot cleaners.”
